I would like to share the word that the Governor of Connecticut, Governor Malloy, is asking for everybody to join Newtown, CT in a moment of silence on Friday December 21st, 2012 at 9:30 AM Eastern Standard time- exactly one week after the devastating tragedy. Here is Governor’s Malloy’s press release.
Please share this post or at least share his press release to everybody so we may all join them. This was a horrible tragedy and I cannot even imagine what the families are going through. Governor Malloy is also requesting that places of worship or any building with the capability to ring the bell 26 times to honor each life that was lost during this horrible tragedy.
He is asking all governors in the US to join them, and I would like to think this will extend further and go beyond the US. I know there are a lot of people who are holding the victims and families in their thoughts across the world. Please join us for the moment of silence from wherever you are.
To the families in Newtown, CT:
I have been wanting to share my sympathy, but I have been at a loss of words and I apologize it is short. I know that no words will change what happened. I have been watching news coverage and I just can’t help the tears that start to fall every time I turn on the news. Your children were all wonderful people and it sounded like they were brave too.
I wish I had more words to say. We want you to know that your families and also the innocent lives that were lost will be in our thoughts here. We are mourning with you, you are not alone! I am sure I speak for all of our readers too when I say that you are not alone.
We will be joining you on Friday for the moment of silence.
