October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I do know a couple people who have been affected by breast cancer, and fortunately they did survive. Unfortunately, not everybody has been so fortunate when battling this deadly disease.

With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, we always saw a little extra pink and also more people supporting the cure with the pink ribbon. The support has been growing in size each year which is awesome! This year has been quite supportive locally and I have been happy to see how many people and corporations are showing it. Everywhere I go I have been seeing pink 🙂

One of our local cities has a nice fountain set up in the center of the circle. They host many events there at the fountain(including the Garlic Fest) and this year, the water is pink! In the beginning of October, the water has been turned pink. I don’t remember seeing this in the past and thought it was very cool that the city did this. Our local newspapers have pink all over the pages this year. Also on the top of the paper has the pink ribbon each day. Shopping at Stop and Shop, their brand coffee (and other items) have pink lids. The prescription bottles from Stop and Shop this month have pink lids too!

I just think it is so nice to see so many people and corporations showing their support this year! How is your area showing support for Breast Cancer Awareness month?
